DANCE 4 A CAUSE

Kristie

Anderson

My name is Kristie Anderson.  I am a pediatric nurse practitioner and have had the honor of working with the children and families of Burke, Caldwell, and McDowell counties for the past 32 years.

“Pediatrics is my life.  I literally eat, sleep (or lack thereof) and breathe my career.  I truly have a passion for what I do, and I love the children and families I have the privilege of caring for.” I am married to Chris Anderson.  We have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
I enjoy baking, shopping, decorating, exercising, and most of all, spending time with my family.  I am a member of Enon Baptist Church.

I feel so blessed to be a part of the Morganton community.

I was asked to participate with Dancing with the Burke Stars and because I enjoyed the show so much last year, accepted the invitation!  I am 55 years old and have never done anything like this before and am very excited to participate!

I have already been overwhelmed with the unwavering support of my family, friends, colleagues, patients/families and community through generous sponsorships and fundraiser donations for the Dancing with the Burke Stars event!

My charity for DWTBS is the LAMB (Least Among My Brethren) Foundation of NC.  LAMB is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to assisting children with intellectual disabilities locally and within the state of NC.  Burke and surrounding counties in NC benefit from LAMB of NC because of funding going to the Special Olympics programs, Exceptional Children’s Programs in the school systems, and regional DHHS facilities, including J. Iverson Riddle.  I, personally, will participate in the DWTBS in remembrance of one of my special needs patients who passed away last year who attended North Liberty school.
