DANCE 4 A CAUSE

Julie Collins

Julie Collins is a remarkable Registered Nurse who has been blessed to have a calling for a fulfilling career in healthcare. With 29 years of experience in various areas of healthcare, such as Oncology, Women’s Health Education, Birthing Center, and Post-Anesthesia Care, she has always had a passion for caring for others. Throughout her nursing career, Julie has formed special relationships with individuals, families, expecting mothers, newborns, and other healthcare professionals. She finds joy in caring for them and cherishes the friendships she has formed.

Besides her career, Julie is a proud mother of two adult daughters, Brittany and Hannah, who are her biggest fans. She is thrilled to participate in the inaugural Dancing with the Catawba Valley Stars event, which she describes as reliving her high school pageant days at the age of 52. In her free time, Julie enjoys dancing, photography, decorating, attending kickboxing classes, and spending time with her daughters. Dancing has always been a sport she loves for both exercise and the chance to make memories with her friends.

Julie has chosen the Catawba Medical Foundation Birthing Center/NICU as her charity of choice. The foundation provides essential equipment and supplies, including state-of-the-art technologies, and also creates and supports programs that benefit the health of the community. Many of you know that Julie has a passion for expecting mothers and newborns, and this is a cause that she holds dear to her heart. She is excited to support such a worthy cause and make a difference in her community.

Julie says “your support is greatly appreciated whether you are a sponsor, a donor, or your kind words to cheer me on.  Let’s Dance the night Away.
